Deng Yaping, one of the best table tennis players, is the first woman player to win the championships in all the international events (赛事).      When she was 9 years old in 1984, she won the Henan table tennis junior (少年) championship but she couldn't join Henan team because of her height.      In 1988, she won the national championship but she couldn't join the national team for the same reason. In 1989, Deng and her teammate Qiao Hong won the world championship. In 1991, Deng won the singles world championship. Those three years was the best time for her sports life.     Deng got 18 gold medals and was the best woman player in the world for seven years. After leaving the national team in 1997, she went to Tsinhua University.
